Wilderness Horseback Riding Adventures
When your sense of discovery permits it, head out into one of San Diego's great wilderness parks or preserves.  Ride a horse down tree-shaded trails and through high mountain meadows, or summit one of the higher mountains in San Diego county.

On horseback rides lasting more than 2 hours, we can arrange for you to enjoy a locally prepared meal from one of several great restaurants in Julian.  There are several locations within each trail option to have a picnic, offering a truly natural and remote experience.  (upon request)

For adventurous horseback riders looking for something even more special, we offer 2 and 3 day mid-week riding vacations. Each day's ride will take you and a guide into a new and different San Diego county wilderness park. We will happily help you set up your lodging and dining arrangements for these truly spectacular equestrian escapes.  Horseback riding vacation prices vary, depending on riding selections. 

Kenner Ranch
Enjoy a relaxing one or two hour ride through the Kenner Ranch, a historic Julian cattle ranch, that is currently set up as a nature preserve.  200+ acres of trails take you past ponds, majestic oak trees and whispering pine forests, and into open meadows, and bucolic pastures. The ranch borders national parks and some of the best horseback riding trails on the west coast.

Ride wonderfully engaged horses on picturesque trails that weave around and within ranch borders,and extend comfortably onto more rugged San Diego national park trails.


Location: San Diego County wilderness areas.
When: By appointment only.
Length: 1 hour minimum.

Price:  $50 minimum.  Prices vary depending upon your riding request.  Please ask for prices.
